Refunds and Returns Policy
Effective date: 29 August 2026
GridKind (Pty) Ltd (registration number 2026/480283/07).
GridKind is the seller of record in every transaction. Merchants and networks are fulfilment suppliers, not third-party sellers. Every refund request and dispute is handled by GridKind.
We deliver digital products and entitlements, so there is nothing physical to return. This policy explains cancellation, recovery and refund states.
Failed or partial delivery
A failed, partial or unresolved delivery enters recovery or refund review. GridKind checks payment, fulfilment, redemption and provider evidence before selecting the available delivery, retry or refund remedy. A refund is complete only after provider confirmation and returns to the original payment method. Nothing in this policy limits a mandatory consumer right.
Cancellation and unredeemed vouchers
For an unredeemed voucher or entitlement, contact support@gridkind.co promptly with the order reference. GridKind will assess its fulfilment state, issuer rules and applicable law. If cancellation is available, we void the credential before submitting a refund to the payer's original payment method.
Cooling-off and cancellation rights depend on applicable law, the product, whether fulfilment has begun and the redemption state. Nothing in this policy limits a mandatory consumer right.
Redeemed products
Once a voucher or entitlement has been redeemed, or a simulated airtime top-up has completed, it generally cannot be reversed, refunded or exchanged for cash. Data bundles are unavailable. Any mandatory consumer right still applies.
Wrong mobile number
If an unredeemed voucher went to an incorrect number, contact support immediately. GridKind can correct it only where its state and issuer rules permit. A completed simulated airtime top-up cannot generally be reversed.
Group contributions
Closed-beta collections use Paystack test mode only and no live money moves. A successful test checkout is recorded immediately as a simulated captured contribution. Before issuance begins and before the closing date, contact support@gridkind.co to request withdrawal. After verifying the payer, GridKind can withdraw that contributor's own contribution: an unpaid commitment is cancelled, while a captured simulation is submitted for refund to the original test payment method and remains pending until provider confirmation. Creator cancellation and a missed target use the same refund process for captured simulations. Once the exact target starts issuance, individual withdrawal is unavailable and the underlying item rules apply.
Loyalty credits
The current closed beta does not issue or accept loyalty credits or rebates. GridKind does not create a member wallet or stored-value balance.
How refunds are paid
Refunds return to the original payment method. We do not refund to a different card, bank account, mobile number or account balance, and we do not hold refunded amounts as credit.
GridKind records when a refund request is submitted and when the provider confirms it. Until provider confirmation, the refund remains pending. The provider and issuing bank control final posting time.
Disputes and chargebacks
If you are unhappy with a purchase, contact support@gridkind.co before raising a dispute with your bank. We handle chargebacks directly and supply the available payment and fulfilment records to the issuing bank.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may refer the complaint to the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud or to the National Consumer Commission. Complaints about airtime or data may also go to ICASA.
